Commentary about "The Case for Land Art"

In this video land art is explained and some projects are shown.
It talks about the human's perception of nature's beauty and how we control and destroy it.
Land art is that which goes out of the typical art, the art that involves a landscape or that is made out of its materials.

In my opinion land art is astonishing, it breaks up with the art I am used to. Its big (and sometimes small) shapes, the interpretation that can be behind it and its message are something that makes me feel amazed.
Despite these emotions that it creates on me, I think that it may also have a bad side which is the disruption of nature as it is, in particular those artists that modify harmfully the landscape they are working with. This is a perception that creates controversy for me because, where is the limit? I don't know to what extent it can be a worry to think about the damage it can cause, the pieces of land art that I enjoy watching are not creating any injury in the nature, we have just to think about how to benefit from nature and its beauty without creating issues, without using our power to superimpose our desires to nature.
I think life is about enjoying the beauty and transmitting things, so land art is a very appropriate way to do so.

The projects that I liked the most are "Sun tunnels" (1973-76) by Nancy Holt, stone tunnels aligned with the rise of the Sun on the summer and winter solstices and that the holes on them create shadows inside that represent the stars of four constellations. And the female forms created and photographed by Ana Mendieta, they are different pieces of art that show women throughout the nature, sometimes with her body and sometimes with just the landscape.
