Commentary about "Noam Chomsky: El objetivo de la educación: La deseducación"

Noam Chomsky is an American linguist, philosopher, cognitive scientist, historical essayist, social critic, and political activist.

In this video he wants to reivindicate what we are doing wrong in education and what would be a better approach. He talks about 4 topics which are the purpose of education, the impact of technology, cost or inversion and assessment vs. autonomy.

It is a very interesting video because he does an educational system critic. He highlights that the actual system inhibits the critical and independent thinking. I think it is very important to progressively make people aware of the changes that we should do.

I strongly agree with the fact that some structures of the society try to indoctrinate instead of giving the opportunity of learning to think. In our society we are seen as products, but it has to change into a more humanistic view. 

For me, this video doesn't say anything new but as I am very interested in education and the changes we must do in the system I find engrossing to watch different materials where the topic is this and also to see different opinions and perspectives that allow me to think and reflect.
